The Redlands Airport Association (RAA) would like to thank all that supported our “Stuff a Plane! Charity Toy Drive” this year. We concluded our “Stuff a Plane! Charity Toy Drive” at Redlands Municipal Airport on Saturday, December 7th. To help bring the community out to donate toys, we served up a pancake breakfast in the morning and a BBQ lunch in the afternoon. We had two flight simulators in the lobby for kids to experience controlling an aircraft. Santa arrived in an airplane, visited with the kids, and handed out candy canes. The RAA also hosted a LifeStream blood drive for those that wished to donate. There were many aircraft on display for our guests to view including some military aircraft.
Members of The Salvation Army San Bernardino Corps were on hand to witness all the wonderful toys being delivered and displayed in front of a WWII Fairchild PT-19 aircraft. At the end of the day, we filled their box truck with toys. Cash donations were also given to The Salvation Army in excess of $1500. All of these donations will support The Salvation Army San Bernardino Corps efforts to help those in need in our area to have a Merry Christmas. On December 19th, the toys a food box and a turkey or ham will be distributed by The Salvation Army to families that have registered.

Thank you to all that volunteered, participated, and donated to make this another successful toy drive!
We also want to take a moment to thank all the businesses and organizations that hosted a collection box. With your help, we collected a huge number of toys this year for The Salvation Army San Bernardino Corps. We hope to do this again next year. Perhaps you will consider sponsoring a collection box once again.
We ask all to please support these community-minded businesses and organizations.
Happy Holidays!
